Harri Hursti, a Finnish computer security expert, will have to wait for his chance to hack into Diebold's voting machine. Secretary of State Bruce McPherson wanted Hursti to test the machine's security by breaking into it. The test, which would have started today, has been postponed.

Hursti has successfully hacked Diebold's security before and was able to get the machines to display, 'Are We Having Fun Yet?' He did this by inserting a modified smart-card into the machine. "
